Izumo Zenzai introduction
Because it is said to be the birthplace of zenzai, Izumo, where Izumo Taisha Shrine is located, is a place where eight million deities gather across the country in October of the lunar calendar. It is said that the name of “Jinzaimochi” which was acting at the ancient Shinzai Festival gradually changed its shape and became “zenzai” and spread to the streets of Kyoto and Edo.
