Tenmusu
A Nagoya specialty! Bite-sized rice balls with plump shrimp tempura

About Tenmusu
Tenmusu (天むす, tenmusu) is a unique type of rice ball filled with shrimp tempura, and it's a beloved dish from Nagoya’s local cuisine. The shrimp tempura, which is also used to make shrimp crackers, is tucked into a rice ball that's about half the size of a typical onigiri. Its portability and perfect balance of saltiness have made it a favorite. A key feature is the addition of kyara-buki (seasoned butterbur stems) as a standard side dish to enhance the flavors.
