Mimi Udon
The perfect blend of niboshi dashi and miso flavor! A local specialty of Fujikawa Town
Mimi Udon introduction
Mimi Udon (耳うどん) is made by kneading wheat flour, rolling it out flat, cutting it into squares, and pinching two adjacent corners together to form a shape that resembles an ear. These "ears" are said to symbolize the ears of an evil spirit. By eating them, it is believed that the evil spirit cannot eavesdrop on the household's conversations or spread malicious rumors, bringing peace and tranquility to the home for the year ahead.
