Takachiho Beef (高千穂牛, Takachiho gyu) refers exclusively to top-quality Japanese black cattle raised and fattened within the Takachiho region under a strict grading system. Only beef graded 4 or higher in quality is recognized as Takachiho Beef. Its tender meat, beautifully marbled with "sashi" (fine fat marbling), and sweet, flavorful fat make it a true delicacy. The velvety texture and rich umami flavor make it a favorite across all ages and genders.
