About Ofunato Sanma Ramen

“Ofunato Sanmara-men” is a local ramen that Ofunato City in Iwate Prefecture is proud of, and was created in 2010 by taking advantage of abundant catches of Pacific saury. Ramen made with Pacific saury has different cooking methods and soup from store to store, and the individuality of each store shines through. You can enjoy the appeal of Pacific saury to the fullest at any store, such as those that make use of Pacific saury stock or those with whole grilled Pacific saury on it. This ramen, which overcame the earthquake and made a comeback, gained popularity again along with regional reconstruction, and is now offered at 7 restaurants in the city. Please enjoy “Ofunato Sanmara-men” while enjoying the blessings of Ofunato's ocean.
