Kobara Beniwase Mandarin
Japan's most vividly red mandarin orange
About Kobara Beniwase Mandarin
The Kobara Beniwase Mandarin (小原紅早生, Kobara Beniwase) is a unique variety originating in Kagawa Prefecture. It was developed as a natural mutation of the "Miyagawa Wase" variety grown by Mr. Yukiharu Kobara in Sakaide City, Kagawa, and was officially registered as a new variety in 1993.
The most striking feature of the Kobara Beniwase is its vibrant, deep red hue, which extends to its juicy flesh. With its thin and easy-to-peel skin, this mandarin is bursting with luscious juice-filled segments. Its flavor offers a perfect balance of rich sweetness and gentle tartness, making it a truly bold and flavorful citrus experience.
