Cappo

Boxfish grilled with miso
Cappo

About Cappo

“Kattppo” is a miso-yaki of chick-fugu, a local dish handed down in Kamigoto since ancient times. After cutting the belly of a box puffer fish into round pieces and treating the internal organs, it is taken out, mixed with miso, sake, chopped green onions, etc., and returned to the belly again, wrapped in aluminum foil. Not only is it a side dish that goes well with rice, but it also plays an active role as a side dish for sake, and is a local dish loved by locals.
