Ontamaran Don
Eggs cooked in sand-steamed hot springs, perfectly creamy and delightful
About Ontamaran Don
Ontamaran Don (温たまらん丼, Ontamaran don) gets its name from a phrase meaning "too delicious to resist," inspired by the delicious onsen eggs from Ibusuki's sand-steamed hot springs, which boast a 300-year history in Kagoshima Prefecture.
This dish features nutrient-rich "Satsuma Imo Eggs," produced at local chicken farms, and carefully cooked using the natural hot spring water from the sand-steamed baths. Topped with a variety of fresh ingredients from Ibusuki's bountiful seas and mountains, it offers a perfect harmony of flavors between the toppings and the creamy hot spring eggs. A deeply satisfying donburi experience awaits in every bite.
