About Three cups mochi

It is a mochi confectionery eaten mainly in the Omagari Senboku area in the southern part of Akita prefecture, and it seems that it was called “sanbai miso” because rice flour, barley flour, and shiratamako are mixed with one cup of tea bowl each, and azuki bean paste is kneaded into it. It is a name unique to those days when measuring instruments were not popular. It has a unique texture created by repeatedly kneading and steaming local Akita rice and azuki bean paste.
