Kuroko Curry
A menu item created by the head chef during the opening of Seidokan
About Kuroko Curry
Kuroko Curry (黒鉱カレー, Kuroko kare) is a unique dish inspired by the mining heritage of Kosaka Town. The head chef of Seidokan prepared this curry with the image of kuroko ore in mind, incorporating flavorful locally sourced ingredients like Momo pork and fresh vegetables.
A fun aspect of this dish is that it comes with a toothbrush! Since Kuroko Curry is made with a squid ink base, it temporarily darkens your teeth when you eat it. The attached toothbrush is Seidokan's playful way of making sure you’re all cleaned up after enjoying your meal.
With its perfectly balanced flavor—not too sweet and not too spicy—Kuroko Curry delivers a delightful experience. The sweetness and savory umami flavors greet you first, followed by a mild and tangy spiciness that lingers perfectly on your palate.
