The ultimate classic dish from Kagawa Prefecture!

About Sanuki Udon
Sanuki Udon (讃岐うどん) is a celebrated local specialty of Kagawa Prefecture. Surprisingly, it only gained national recognition around the 1990s. At the time, a local magazine in Kagawa published an article about Sanuki Udon, which was later compiled into a book, sparking a boom within the prefecture.
Word of its deliciousness spread across the country through word of mouth, and its fame was further solidified after being featured on television. Today, Sanuki Udon stands proudly as one of Japan's "Big Three Udon," alongside Mizusawa Udon from Gunma Prefecture and Inaniwa Udon from Akita Prefecture. Its legacy continues to delight noodle lovers everywhere.
