Bukkake Udon
The authentic taste from the birthplace of Bukkake Udon
About Bukkake Udon
Bukkake Udon (ぶっかけうどん, Bukkake udon) is widely known as one of Kagawa’s famous dishes, but interestingly, its origins trace back to the city of Kurashiki in Okayama Prefecture.
This local specialty features freshly boiled udon noodles topped with green onions, tempura flakes, seaweed, and a quail egg, all generously drizzled with a sweet and savory sauce. It’s a delightful dish that highlights the umami of the simple dashi broth and the natural flavor of the noodles. The springy, firm texture of the udon, combined with its smooth and satisfying finish, makes this a truly irresistible treat.
