Okayama prefecture is a peach producing area, so Okayama is famous as a place related to the Japanese folktale “Momotaro”.
Kibidango became popular as an auspicious food that became a source of energy for Momotaro to exterminate demons.
It is common for gyuhi, which is made by adding mizuame to powdered glutinous rice and kneading it, flavored with grain millet.
Its gentle sweetness and soft texture continue to be loved by a wide range of people from children to the elderly as sweets that heal fatigue.
