Sweet and melt-in-your-mouth goodness! A winter delicacy bursting with flavor!
About Namban Shrimp
Namban Shrimp (南蛮エビ, Namban ebi), also known as Amaebi, are locally called this in Niigata because their color and shape resemble red chili peppers. The tender, sweet flesh of Namban Shrimp has become a staple for sashimi and sushi toppings. Freshly caught Namban Shrimp, only available in the region, are praised for their translucent beauty, firm and bouncy texture, and delicate sweetness that sets them apart.
