Keno Soup
A hearty vegetable-packed soup brimming with the blessings of the mountains!

About Keno Soup
Keno Soup (けの汁, Keno-jiru) is a traditional dish enjoyed across the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture.
This comforting soup is made by simmering finely chopped vegetables in a kombu (kelp) broth. Common ingredients include daikon radish, carrots, bracken ferns, burdock roots, freeze-dried tofu, fried tofu, konjac, and green soybeans. While the exact combination of ingredients can vary by region or household, the essence of the dish remains the same: a simple, plant-based soup showcasing root vegetables and soy products infused with the delicate flavor of kombu broth.
