Kagawa Obara Benihayasei oranges are an original variety of Kagawa prefecture that was registered as a variety registered in 1995 because the variety called “Miyagawa Wase,” which was cultivated in Ohara Yukiharu's mandarin orange garden in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture, has changed branches. The biggest characteristic of Kohara Benihaya mandarin oranges is their bright dark red color. And its dark color also appears on the pulp. The peel is thin, easy to peel by hand, and the inner bunches have elasticity filled with plenty of fruit juice, and the strong sweetness and soft acidity make it feel like a mandarin orange with a strong flavor.
