Umegae mochi introduction

The chewy, thin dough is baked crisply, and the inside is plump cooked azuki beans from Tokachi. Tsubuan uses the auspicious donation salt (Amakusa salt), which is said to be auspicious, to bring out the sweetness. It is characterized by its aroma and chewy texture. From its name, we tend to imagine that it tastes like plum, but it doesn't taste like plum at all. Since the sacred crest of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is plum, it is named because the plum is branded on the skin.
