Kujiramochi introduction

Kujiramochi is a local confectionery that has been handed down since ancient times in Shinjo and the surrounding Mogami region. It is called whale mochi, but it does not contain whale meat. It is said that it was named “Kujiramochi (Kujiramochi)” in the sense of good mochi to hold for a long time since preservation works. Mainstream is to eat raw or baked as it is.
