Miyazaki Kanpachi
Kanpachi raised in the rough waves of the Black Current

About Miyazaki Kanpachi
Miyazaki Kanpachi (宮崎カンパチ, Miyazaki kanpachi) thrives in the nutrient-rich waters of the Hyuganada Sea, where the warm currents of the Black Current flow. This region offers an ideal environment for Kanpachi, which prefers higher water temperatures.
In the unspoiled waters of the open sea with minimal risk of red tides, Kanpachi is meticulously raised under strict management from juvenile to market-ready fish. Carefully selected moist pellet feed is used, and vaccines are administered to young fish to prevent diseases, ensuring the fish are uniformly firm and of superior quality.
For shipment, Miyazaki employs an innovative "automatic ikejime bleeding device," developed in collaboration between the prefecture and local businesses. This cutting-edge process ensures that the fish retains its freshness and firm texture for longer. Recognized as the first certified product of Miyazaki Prefecture's seafood brand, Miyazaki Kanpachi stands out for its exceptional taste and quality.
