Hiroshima Tsukemen introduction

Shingu, who was inspired by China in Showa 29, opened a Chinese restaurant “Shinkaen” in Hiroshima. At that time, the “Reimen” served in this shop was popular. It is said that the original form of the present Hiroshima Tsukemen is “Reimen”, which is eaten with noodles on a hot and cold soup stock mixed with hot pepper, sesame oil, and vinegar that is still taken over today. After that, it was named “Tsukemen” from around Showa 60 and a specialty shop begins to appear. From around 2001, the remarks of entertainers became famous nationwide and the “Hiroshima Tsukemen” boom began.
