Yokohama Iekei Ramen
The classic ramen of Yokohama – Iekei Ramen!
Yokohama Iekei Ramen introduction
Yokohama Iekei Ramen (横浜家系ラーメン, Yokohama Iekei ramen) has its origins in 1974, when the renowned "Yoshimura-ya" opened in Isogo Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Its signature soup is a rich blend of pork bone broth and soy sauce, perfectly paired with thick noodles. Toppings typically include nori seaweed, spinach, and tender slices of chashu pork. One of its unique features is the ability to customize the richness of the soup and the firmness of the noodles when placing your order. Today, Iekei Ramen has expanded far beyond Kanagawa, boasting popularity not only throughout Japan but also across the globe, especially in other parts of Asia.
