Small “white shrimps,” which are about 5 to 8 cm in physical condition, are shrimp that live only in the waters near Japan, and they live their whole lives swimming in deep waters 100 to 500 meters deep. The life span is about two to two and a half years.
As a specialty of Toyama, it has been used in various dishes such as “kakiage,” “fried chicken,” “soup stock,” and “sashimi,” and has been loved by local people.
