About Shisono water gyoza

The local gourmet “suzuno mizu gyoza” from Susono City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is a healthy boiled gyoza characterized by the green skin kneaded with moloheiya, a local specialty. Cabbage, pork, chives, and tea leaves from Susono are used as ingredients, so you can enjoy a rich flavor. Also known as the “king of vegetables,” moloheiya is a nutritious food rich in dietary fiber, minerals, vitamins, and calcium. By using plenty of this moloheiya, it is a dish that even health-conscious people will appreciate.

“Sugisono mizu gyoza” was developed by the Susono Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2006 for the purpose of regional revitalization, and since then it has been offered at many restaurants in the city. Each store offers a wide variety of unique soups and ingredients, such as Chinese style, Japanese style, and jige-nabe style, and you can discover new flavors every time you visit. They also sell frozen take-out sets, so you can easily enjoy them at home.

When you visit Susono City, be sure to try “suzuno mizu gyoza” and enjoy the local food culture and healthy deliciousness.
