Magnolia leaf miso is a simple dish eaten while grilling miso paste and chopped green onions on top of magnolia leaves, and in addition to going well with rice, it is also said to be the perfect side dish for alcoholic beverages. It is now grilled with Hida beef, mushrooms, etc., and is an essential hospitality dish in this region.
