Champon, which is said to be the origin of Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is one of the local specialties that have been loved in Nagasaki since the Meiji period. Seafood such as shrimps and squid, meat, vegetables, kamaboko and a lot of ingredients, and special noodles with thick and rich texture are characteristic. Nagasaki Champon, originated in Nagasaki, was invented by the master of a Chinese restaurant who came from Fujian Province during the mid-Meiji period. Originally, it was thought that foreign students in China could get their nutrition properly, but it was so delicious that people in Nagasaki would like to eat it.
