Nyuumen
A traditional dish originating from Nara Prefecture
About Nyuumen
Nyuumen (にゅうめん) literally means "simmered noodles" when written in kanji. True to its name, it features somen noodles served in a warm, flavorful broth.
While popular across Japan, Nyuumen traces its roots back to Nara Prefecture, where it is considered a local specialty. It’s a comforting dish during cold seasons when served hot, and in summer, it can be enjoyed chilled with seasonal toppings that add a refreshing touch.
