Sailor's jabu-jabu

About Sailor's jabu-jabu

It is a menu that has its roots in the meal of a former boatman in the Ushimado district, and it is a kake rice eaten by stewing minced bone geta (flat tongue), radish, green onions, carrots, etc. and sprinkled on hot rice with jabu-jabu and soup. It is said that it came in handy as a winter meal that warms up quickly. This became established as a home-cooked meal. It can be eaten at local events, etc., and retort packs are sold at local souvenir shops.
