About Takezaki crab

Takezaki crab is a specialty representative of Tara Town. The type of crab is known nationwide as “blue crab,” but those caught in the waters near the Takezaki district of Tara Town are particularly prized as “Takezaki crabs.” The vast tidal flats formed by the difference in tides of the Ariake Sea, and the plankton and small animals that live in the tidal flats are exposed to sunlight once a day on the tidal flats where the tide is low. Those small animals that absorb a lot of far-infrared rays that make food tasty are good food for the Takezaki crab, and the Takezaki crab that eats it is therefore said that it is much tastier. Takezaki There are two seasons for crab: winter and summer. In winter, females holding eggs that store nutrients before spawning are tasty, and in summer, males with rich crab miso are tasty.
