Grilled Wild Boar
Rich, flavorful fat at its finest
About Grilled Wild Boar
Grilled Wild Boar (猪の塩焼き, Inoshishi no Shioyaki) is a delicacy that originates from the mountainous areas around Nobeoka City in Miyazaki Prefecture.
These regions are abundant in acorns and nuts, which serve as natural food for wild boars. Raised in such a rich natural environment, the boar meat is known for its perfect balance of tender red meat and mildly marbled fat, creating a lean yet exceptionally flavorful experience.
After being skillfully hunted with trained hunting dogs, the boar is processed meticulously at state-of-the-art facilities under strict hygiene management, ensuring safety and quality. This dish highlights the boar’s unique taste, cooked simply with salt to bring out its full, natural richness.
