Bokke Nabe
The Bold and Hearty "Kirishima Myth Bokke Nabe"

About Bokke Nabe
In Kagoshima Prefecture, the word "bokke" means "bold" or "hearty," evoking images of historical figures like Saigo Takamori. Kirishima, famously known as the "Land of Heavenly Descent" from Japanese mythology, lends its name to this representative hot pot, symbolizing the mythology of the region.
At the heart of this new local delicacy is the nationally renowned "Kirishima Aged Myth Pork," along with Kirishima Aged Black Pork and Kirishima Aged White Pork. Packed with seasonal vegetables harvested locally, this hot pot is a celebration of regional flavors.
Created after a full year of craft and care by local chefs, Bokke Nabe offers three flavorful soup options: "Pork Miso," with its deep, savory taste; "Soy Milk," with a rich, creamy mellowness; and "Soy Sauce," a light yet aromatic broth with a refined depth. Enjoy this heartwarming dish embodying Kagoshima's bold character.
