About Manganji Togarashi (Manganji sweet)

Manganji Togarashi originated in the Manganji area located in the suburbs of Maizuru in northern Kyoto Prefecture.
It is a companion of pepper, but it is not spicy, sweet and voluminous. The fleshy flesh is soft and has few seeds so it's easy to eat.
The classic way to eat is simply ungrilled and put in bonito flakes and soy sauce. Excellent compatibility with various dishes and ingredients such as stir-fry, simmered, and tempura. Although it is a relatively new vegetable, it has led the popularity of “Brand Kyo Vegetable” with its good taste and unique form.
