Edomae Sushi
Nigiri sushi made with fresh seafood from Tokyo Bay
About Edomae Sushi
Edomae Sushi (江戸前寿司, Edomae sushi) refers to nigiri sushi and sushi rolls crafted by skilled sushi chefs using fresh seafood sourced from Tokyo Bay.
At traditional Edomae sushi restaurants, there’s a unique sushi jargon, with terms like "agari" for tea, "gyoku" for tamagoyaki (a sweet rolled omelet), and "namida" for wasabi, used among the chefs.
Once a local specialty of Tokyo, Edomae Sushi has now become a beloved cuisine all around the world.
