About Noheji Torimeshi (Chicken-and-rice railway bento)
Noheji Torimeshi is a specialty ekiben, or railway bento, from Noheji Station on the Aoimori Railway in Noheji Town. With a history of more than 60 years, it is a classic bento served in a distinctive diamond-shaped container. Seasoned rice is topped with chicken soboro, scrambled egg soboro, and pieces of chicken. It has long been a favorite of passengers on the Tohoku Main Line and local residents alike.
