Fry though not fried? It is said that the name originated in the early Showa period when they served workers at a nearby Tabi (Japanese tabi) factory as a snack during a break. It seems that it was called fried grilled because it was cooked in a frying pan. The flour is cooked with water and grilled on a teppan with oil, and then topped with pork and chopped green onions, and then topped with soy sauce and flavored sauce. There are many “fly shops” near the local area and you can enjoy a variety of flies.
