About Yomenakase

Yomenakase is the name of the aorta of cattle in the Tsuyama area of Okayama prefecture, and depending on the region, it is called blood vessel, hatsumoto, korikori, etc.
It is often served as a single dish seasoned with salt, pepper or soy sauce, and can also be eaten with charcoal grill, tempura, or fried chicken.
There are various theories about the origin of the name, such as “pretreatment is difficult and there is no wife,” “no matter who cooks it, so there is no turn for the bride to turn”, “it is so good that the bride does not eat it and makes her cry”, “it makes you cry due to its nutritional tonic effect”.
