Iwata Omoro Curry
Iwata's essence captured in a curry
เกี่ยวกับ Iwata Omoro Curry
In the Enshu region, "omoro" is an old term used to refer to pork trotters. Though the exact origin of the word is unclear, it is believed to derive from the Okinawan word "omoro".
Traditionally, cleaned pork trotters are simmered in a sweet and savory sauce made of sugar and soy sauce, then served with vinegared miso or grilled to a crispy perfection. This has become a beloved local specialty.
"Iwata Omoro Curry (磐田おもろカレー)" is a unique dish developed by local volunteers in the hopes of revitalizing the community. Its rich and tender omoro, slowly cooked to perfection, blends harmoniously with the spices of curry, creating a mouthwatering regional delicacy.
