Ise Udon
Ise Udon doesn’t need the so-called “firmness”
เกี่ยวกับ Ise Udon
Ise Udon (伊勢うどん, Ise udon) is a traditional udon dish enjoyed primarily in Ise City, located in Mie Prefecture. The noodles are nearly twice as thick as regular udon and have a delightfully soft and chewy texture. The sauce, made with tamari soy sauce, is dark in appearance but not as salty as it looks, offering a rich umami flavor with a hint of sweetness and a smooth, mellow aftertaste. The toppings are kept simple, typically limited to just green onions, allowing you to savor the profound depth of the dish. A must-try specialty when visiting the sacred Ise Shrine.
