About Gorojima Kintoki
Gorojima Kintoki (五郎島金時, Gorojima Kintoki) is a sweet potato primarily grown in the Gorojima and Awagasaki areas of Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, as well as the Uchinada sand dunes.
This sweet potato is spindle-shaped, weighs between 100 to 300 grams, and is distinguished by its deep purple skin. Known for its fluffy, floury texture and pronounced sweetness, it delivers an exceptional taste and is also visually appealing. Recognized across Japan, it has earned its reputation as a premium sweet potato brand.
