Koshi no Ruby introduction

“Koshi no Ruby” is the brand name for midi tomatoes produced in Fukui prefecture. The variety “Koshi no Ruby,” which is the source of this brand name, was cultivated at Fukui Prefectural Junior College (now Fukui Prefectural University). Since the fruit is bright red, Akutagawa Prize-winning writer Setsuko Tsumura from Fukui Prefecture was named, and the variety was registered in 1994. It is about the size of a large tomato (midi) between a large tomato and a cherry tomato, and is characterized by its strong sweetness when compared to large tomatoes. The thin skin and juicy flavor make you think you're eating fruit. A gem that makes you feel completely different from tomatoes up until now! Vitamin C and calcium are 2 to 3 times that of large tomatoes, so they are recommended not only for beauty but also for recovering from summer fatigue!
