Misaki Tamago Kake Gohan introduction

Misaki Tamago Kake Gohan (美咲たまごかけごはん) is a dish that highlights the best of Misaki Town’s local ingredients. It features freshly laid eggs from one of the largest poultry farms in western Japan, premium "terraced rice" grown in the town, and local soy sauce. Even the bowl used is made from a local specialty ceramic called "Sakurako-yaki." This delightful creation is rooted in the legacy of Ginjiro Kishida, a distinguished native of Misaki Town, who is said to have adored tamago kake gohan (rice topped with raw egg) and helped popularize it across Japan. The town of Misaki also embraces the concept of "Kofuku" (a play on the Japanese words for "yellow" and "happiness") as part of their community development efforts, representing the bright yellow yolk and the joy this dish brings.
