Kamishiro mochi is a bite-sized mochi with moderately sweet tsubuan in the grass mochi made from natural mugwort. Jindai mochi, which has a refreshing scent of grass, brings out its color and aroma using only natural wormwood, and is an authentic kusamochi that has continued to be made without using any additives. The Sangu Highway up to Ise is also known as the “Mochi Kaido,” and along the highway, there is a famous mochi that was popular as a mid-road meal to entertain travelers on “Okage Pilgrimage,” and it can still be enjoyed at many shops today.
