Did you know that agepan originated in Tokyo’s Ota City? It was reportedly created to improve the nutrition of children who were not getting enough calories. For me, as for my children’s generation, a day when agepan was served at school lunch was always something to look forward to. Today, agepan comes in a wide variety of styles.
