Okyuto
A nostalgic taste and texture, perfect for dieting
About Okyuto
Okyuto (おきゅうと, Okyuto) is a traditional specialty from Fukuoka that has been loved by locals for generations. It's a staple often enjoyed as a breakfast dish.
Resembling tokoroten jelly or konjac in appearance, it is made by blending 70% egonori seaweed and 30% okiten seaweed, then molding it into shape.
Okyuto is typically served with grated ginger and soy sauce, offering a light, refreshing flavor. Its unique springy and chewy texture makes it stand out.
Containing virtually no calories, it's also a great option for those looking to maintain a healthy diet.
