Naruto Sea Bream
Delightfully firm texture with a rich, flavorful fat.
Naruto Sea Bream introduction
The Japanese sea bream, often referred to as the "King of Fish," reaches its pinnacle of quality in the swift currents of the Naruto Strait. Famous for its whirlpools that attract countless visitors, Naruto’s ocean is characterized by its powerful tides. These challenging conditions create an environment where the sea bream, known as "Naruto Sea Bream (鳴門鯛, Naruto tai)," develops remarkably firm muscles. This is what makes the Naruto sea bream so exceptional. The fresh and firm texture of its meat, combined with just the right amount of fat, is a testament to the unique traits of this region. Particularly in early spring, just before spawning season, the sea bream is called "Sakura Sea Bream" due to its delicate and rich flavor, a result of the fat it has stored up. Naruto Sea Bream is also packed with essential nutrients such as protein, taurine, EPA, DHA, and vitamins B1 and B2 (found in the organs), which are believed to aid in preventing lifestyle diseases, supporting weight loss, reducing stress, improving skin health, and maintaining eyesight. Best Season: March to April.
