Spiny lobster introduction

Spiny lobster is mostly distributed along the Pacific coast south of Chiba Prefecture, and is caught mainly on the Shima Peninsula in Mie Prefecture. Many rivers flow rich in nutrients, and from offshore Kumano Beach, the Kuroshio tide carries life as food. The shallow reef area in the Sea of Blessings is the home of spiny lobsters. Since they are nocturnal, they hide quietly in rock shadows during the daytime, grow using sea urchins and shellfish as food, and when they grow larger, their body length reaches 30 cm. The firm flesh is clear and beautiful, and has a crisp texture. The flavor is rich, and it's like it melts on your tongue. A pleasant afterglow remains even when it passes through the throat. In addition to sashimi, briskly grilled directly over high heat is also delicious. The scent that rises with the white smoke is appetizing. If you touch the hot white meat on your cheeks, you can enjoy its crunchy texture and juicy flavor.
