Kajiki manju
400 years of long-selling Japanese sweets that continue to be loved by local citizensKajiki manju introduction
Kajiki manju was built 400 years ago from now, when Shimazu Yoshihiro, the 17th lord of Satsuma Domain, built a parapet bridge over two years from 1606 prior to the transfer of Shigetaka (Aira City) from Hiramatsu Castle to Kajiki It is said that what was put out to Ke was the origin of it. Using glutinous rice and koji as the main ingredients, the savory dough mixed with our own amazake matches perfectly with azuki bean paste. The simple and tasteful manju is popular for its plump dough and delicious red bean paste.
