Local cuisine handed down in the Fukuoka area of SetouchiDodome introduction
Dodomese is a local cuisine handed down in the Fukuoka area of Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture. It is cooked rice made using luxurious ingredients like bara-zushi, but the biggest feature is that it is mixed with vinegar. At the end of the Kamakura period, there was a takase boat passing station in Fukuoka area, but the boatmen cooked rice to eat, was accidentally sour muddy liquor (doburoku) The rice that was poured and cooked has become a good reputation, and it seems that “Doburoku rice” has been handed down. The name “Doburoku rice” seems to be a converted one.
