Takeoka-Style Ramen (竹岡式ラーメン, Takeoka-shiki ramen) originates from Takeoka in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture. This ramen stands out for its unique preparation method: soy sauce base mixed with noodle cooking water creates a dark, flavorful broth packed with the savory richness of meat. Diced onions are used as a garnish, with toppings such as tender chashu pork, bamboo shoots, and seaweed slices. The original restaurant had distinctive traditions, using dried noodles and charcoal braziers, but today many establishments have developed their own spin on the dish.
