Sexology introduction

“Sexogaku mochi” is a local dish handed down in the Katori/Kaiso area of Chiba prefecture, and is a special mochi invented by farmer leader Ohara Yugaku (Ohara Yugaku) in the late Edo period. Its name comes from the discipline “sexology” advocated by Yugaku. “Sexology” emphasizes the balance between morality and economy, and explains how to live by helping each other, and this mochi also embodies that spirit. The characteristic of sexology mochi is that it uses non-glutinous rice instead of glutinous rice. By steaming non-glutinous rice twice and sticking it with a mortar and pestle, a unique texture different from glutinous rice mochi is created. Compared to mochi made from mochi made with mochi, it doesn't harden easily and is highly storable, so you can enjoy it for a long time. Also, since it has a smooth texture with little stickiness, it doesn't get stuck in the throat and can be eaten safely by the elderly. There are a variety of cooking methods, and it doesn't lose its shape even when added to soup or hot pot dishes, and can also be enjoyed as a stir-fry dish or dessert. Its softness and resistance to melting is one of the charms of sexology. It is a local flavor that is useful in a variety of situations, from everyday dining tables to special events.
