A bold impact with its black appearance and punchy flavor!
Toyama Black Ramen introduction
Toyama Black Ramen (富山ブラックラーメン, Toyama burakku rāmen) is a unique local ramen dish that originated in central Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. Originally created to cater to workers, this ramen features a hearty and strong flavor. The soup is intensely soy-based with a dark, rich broth, and is topped with a generous amount of coarsely ground black pepper, giving it a peppery kick and a salty tang. Toppings typically include bamboo shoots, seaweed, and plenty of green onions, much like regular ramen, but with a slightly higher quantity of green onions. The bamboo shoots can also be notably salty.
